My name is Shafaq Umar. This year marks my 20th year in teaching. I am currently residing and working in Thailand as a Project Based Learning Consultant. I hold a master's degree in Economics and a PGCE (UCL). I was chosen to work with a school in Bangkok from an IB school in Pakistan where I had been associated for 10 years. I feel blessed to have received many national and international PDs, which have broadened my horizons and helped me set SMART goals for the learners, enabling them to ‘learn to learn’. While I have always felt driven to be an early/primary school educator, the joy I feel from facilitating the growth and development of the students reaffirms my passion for my profession. I don't believe in cookie-cutter formats for the learners. I truly believe in 'tailored instruction' in alignment with individual learning needs.
