I love teaching Geography because it combines several sciences: politics, economics, and geology, giving a comprehensive understanding of important societal issues such as climate change, inequality, and migration. Working on each paper is fascinating as it leads learners to explore the causes and effects of multifaceted issues at stake. I have 2 Masters degrees in Economics and Politics and over 12 years of tutoring experience.

I am a passionate Geography tutor based in Linden, Johannesburg, with a genuine interest in nature, the environment, and understanding how the world works. I am a former international school student born in Hong Kong and raised between Hong Kong, Beijing, and New York. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in Political Science and Economics, I joined the Teach For America program (against the wishes of my parents who had hoped I'd go into finance) and taught a variety of subjects including mathematics, chemistry, and biology. I also ran my school's after-school SAT tutoring program. As an educator, my background is in High School special education and Middle School general education. But where my strength lies is in my ability to help students understand their goals and how best to achieve them.
