Hello! My name is Naomi and I'm a full-time writer and tutor. I have 6 years of experience as a journalist, writing about business, arts, culture, and other topics for international magazines such as Fortune and Monocle. I am also a book author, with my novel published by W.W. Norton, a prestigious American publishing house, and receiving rave reviews in the New York Times, Time magazine, and other publications.

I teach creative writing (fiction and non-fiction), reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, and help students (both native English speakers and second-language learners) improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills for SAT and ACT tests, (I) GCSE and A-Level, IB exams, college courses, essay writing, college applications, and pre-professional upskilling. I am conversant in British English and American English and can teach in either one.

My teaching approach is holistic, flexible, and tailored to each student. Before I begin with a new student, I have an in-depth discussion with parents or the student to determine tutoring goals, learning outcomes, and any timelines for tests, college applications, etc. I design a personalized syllabus for each student that includes reading and writing exercises, as well as assignments.
