In my daily research work, I write code to solve complex problems that run on a supercomputer at NAOJ in Japan. Fun fact: I previously worked on important scientific projects such as the EHT collaboration, which produced the first-ever image of a black hole.

Hello! I am an experienced Head of Department and Online Tutor based in the UK, specializing in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at GCSE, and Biology and Physics at A-level. I have a wealth of teaching and exam resources and a solid track record of improving student results. I also tutor General Science and Mathematics at KS3. After completing A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (all grade A), I began my B.Sc in Biology at the Queen’s University of Belfast, graduating with First Class Honours. Prior to teaching, I worked in food disease research and then the food retail sector, in both product quality and safety, as well as procurement. In this capacity, I continued to drive progress throughout the department through the sharing of best practice with non-specialist teachers and the department as a whole. As well as improving academic progress each year, I developed the school’s STEM opportunities through extracurricular Crest awards and organized a residential trip to CERN in Geneva, where students had the opportunity to see one of the particle accelerators up close. My success in inspiring students and colleagues alike and my continued improvement in student academic progress saw me promoted to Head of Science the following year. I am also an examiner for a UK exam board.
