I have a master's degree in English literature and have worked with high school, college, adult basic eduation, and English language learning students from a variety of backgrounds. From analyzing classic literature to dissecting Marvel movies to biology lab reports, I enjoy helping students improve their ability to express themselves through their writing in all subjects. Spanish is my second language and I am currently learning French, so I understand the challenges that are specific to students who are writing in their non-native language. I conduct online lessons and enjoy the freedom to work with students from all over. If you ever decide to write an essay about Black Panther, I can assure you that we will have a rousing discussion. I believe that an essential part of learning is feeling comfortable enough to offer one's thoughts. During my lessons, I ask more questions than I provide simple answers. This is to help the student think critically about the subject at hand, as I find many have excellent ideas about their subjects, even if they do not yet know how to express those ideas.
