I am currently studying chemical engineering at UCL and studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry at A level (achieving A*AA grades). My experience of studying maths and sciences has to lead me to experiment with learning techniques and develop effective ways to be successful in such subjects. For this reason, I will be offering lessons in maths, chemistry physics and biology. I have experience working with young people in my role in visitor engagement in a science museum. In this role, I have developed my ability to connect with people and help them to understand tough concepts in a way that makes science and mathematics as awe-inspiring and exciting as it should be. To learn technical subjects, it is vitally important to develop problem-solving skills. For this reason, I will certainly encourage my students to work through set problems, explaining their thinking behind answers. A thorough understanding of the material is also essential, as simple fact learning will not be enough to score a high grade. To ensure my students feel comfortable with tricky concepts, I will encourage questions at every stage of explanation and aim to leave no stone unturned. Weniger lesen
