I am a 25-year-old Australian law student who has come to live in Berlin for a year. I would like to help anyone who wants to learn English (at any level) achieve their goals. I have been learning languages (French and German) since I was 12, so I know what it is like to learn a new language and the effort that is required. I have also learned in this time that everyone learns differently, and so I will take a flexible approach to tutor English so that you, the student, can get the most out of your time. As a law student, I have a lot of exposure to "proper" English, as I have to read around 300 pages of very high-level English every week and analyze the meaning behind the text. I am also expected to write all of my essays in this style. I am happy to teach English that is more directed towards study or work, but I am just as happy to teach everyday conversational English as well so that you can sound more like a native speaker (I can even throw in some Aussie slang if you'd like!). Edward is a 29 year old man from Accra, Ghana. I grew up with a phobia for mathematics but the introduction of one tutor in my 8th grade in Junior High School was the beginning of a new love affair with mathematics. Through the relation of complex math subjects to practical and everyday life situations, these subjects become easy to tackle and fun to solve. My love for math led me to pursuing Elective Math in Senior High School and to a math related programming for my undergraduate ie Economics. I am of the belief that my passion, exposure and history with the subject will enable me inculcate the love for math in my prospective students. I am currebtly pursuing my masters degree in Berlin and reside at Schoneweide, Berlin. I will be happy to teach other subjects like English ( my mother tongue), and Economics. Even though I studied Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, I am more interested in teaching Spanish as a foreign language since I know the struggle to learn a different language and how frustrating it may be.
