I am a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Creative Writing, currently based in Quezon City. I enjoy writing and communicating, as well as refining both of those skills to be as concise as possible. I also like helping others with their writing. My goal is not for everyone to write like me or write what I want, but to discover their own style and skillset, appreciate it, and improve until they are satisfied with their work. I am patient with people because I know what it's like to feel frustrated and not make progress. I believe in a down-to-earth, caring but assertive teaching style. I also believe that to be a good writer, one needs to be a good reader. I would like to develop reading comprehension skills alongside writing skills, as I feel that reading comprehension and analysis are underrepresented and underappreciated among students. Above all, I want to listen to my students. I want to understand not just what they are struggling with, but also why they are having trouble, what interests them, and how to better reach them for a more fulfilling learning experience for both of us.
