My name is Dikchita and I graduated from Sha Tin College ESF in 2017 with the IB curriculum. I then graduated from the University of Essex (in the UK) in 2022 with a degree in financial economics and accounting. I have also just completed my Masters Degree in Business and Finance at the University of Warwick. In the past, I have volunteered in teaching English at a local secondary school to form 4 students for a year. I have had extensive experience working with children as I have been tutoring kids (from K1- Year 13) in English, Maths, Economics, General Studies, Sciences, and arts and craft for 10 years. For English, I support students in creative writing, Trinity exam preparation, oral speaking, phonics, Cambridge Starters/Movers/Flyers (my students have achieved full shields), reading comprehension, storytelling, and more. I also provide tailored worksheets and personalized practice materials to match each student’s learning needs. My fees depend on the level of study and the subjects. I provide in-person lessons in Hong Kong as well as online lessons (where my rates are lower than in person).

Especially to avoid using Hong Kong English, such as "Double confirm" and "Long Time no see....." Classes can be conducted in English or Cantonese, depending on the student's preference.

From 2001 until 2023, I was a senior tutor at AMG Ltd. in Language and Literature for students aged 8-18. At AMG, I taught UKISET, IDAT, ISEB 11+ and 13+, SSAT, (I)GCSE, HKDSE, IB, SAT, NAPLAN, IELTS, LSAT, and many other Australian and Canadian curricula. For those students preparing for IELTS, we cover all areas of the examination by looking at past papers and best practices. I also offer interview practice for Hong Kong international schools and schools in the UK and elsewhere. I have extensive experience in preparing students for online as well as face-to-face interviews; my focus is on building up learners’ self-confidence and interpersonal skills so they can present their best selves to any interviewer. Classes are conducted one-on-one in a comfortable office. There is also a great reception area for students to wait in before class if they need a place to do homework.
