Hi students! Im an English litreature and language teacher based in London, England. I also write and teach poetry. I am also trained in media,film and acting. I aim to improve the way you think about english and the skills and tips to develop your skills.

My name is Maxzell, my friends and family call me Max. I live in a breath-taking country called South Africa. After I completed high school my identical twin sister and I travelled around the world for a bit for modelling. It was here I realized how much I love not only the English language but to teach and to write. I love the idea of expanding English, sharing my knowledge and in the same breath getting got to know different people online. I am a published Author and my passion for people will be furthered developed if I had the privilege to teach online. I obtained my BA language and literature degree through UNISA (University of South Africa) while working full time as a manager of a large prominent hotel. Through all this, I still managed to freelance and write articles for newspapers and magazine and I am thrilled to say I have published a book, and my agent who is based in America will actually, release book 2 and book 3 later this year. For five years, I have taught private English lessons, from children of 3 years to adults of 50 years. I am fun, easy going – patient and love meeting new people. My teaching methods are relaxed, at a place convenient for the student. Let's learn together and have fun while doing it.

Hello, my name is Shannon Holmes. I consider myself to be both a professional educator and an ice skating specialist, as, in addition to holding an English literature teaching degree, I coach all aspects of skating: speedskating, figure skating and hockey. My experiences in coaching help me to relate well to people of all ages, to assess ability, breakdown and scaffold skills to effectively raise the athlete or student to a level of extreme proficiency. I believe it deepens my skill as an educator. I have many goals that are part of my personal teaching philosophy, but the most important of these is to be able to motivate and engage my students in a love of reading, writing and literature. I will also strive to foster a lifelong love of learning, as that is a skill and attitude that will take students far into the future, beyond the boundaries of their academic careers. I believe that the ultimate goal of tutoring is to help my students gain skill continuously, until they need less and less assistance from me, so they can internalize these skills and be able to read and write, interpret text, and express themselves without further help.
