I’m currently a reporter, working at TIME Magazine. I have been working in journalism for the past four years. As a reporter, I spend a lot of time working on grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary. I attended Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism and earned my masters in 2016. I also went to Penn State University and got my bachelors degree. While an undergraduate at Penn State, I was a volunteer tutor with the Academics Assistant Program, where I tutored fellow college students in a variety of topics and course work.

Hello, my name is Shannon Holmes. I consider myself to be both a professional educator and an ice skating specialist, as, in addition to holding an English literature teaching degree, I coach all aspects of skating: speedskating, figure skating and hockey. My experiences in coaching help me to relate well to people of all ages, to assess ability, breakdown and scaffold skills to effectively raise the athlete or student to a level of extreme proficiency.
