Hi, my name is Ben Roth, and I am an English-speaking Math teacher originally from the United States. For the last 12 years, I have been teaching Middle School and High School Math in some of the most prestigious International Schools in Asia and South America. Currently, I am the Head of the Mathematics Department at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok. Currently, I am only offering my tutoring services online. I have vast experience using technology in the classroom and have further developed those skills while teaching my courses online due to COVID-19. Although it is great to learn in person, I believe I can still be an effective tutor online. This option will alleviate the family's and my own hassle of driving to the tutoring appointment. I am currently a full-time undergraduate student in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, studying Mechanical Engineering. I would like to teach Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. I obtained 3 A* in these subjects in the A levels (British Curriculum under the Cambridge International Examinations). My location is in Ho Man Tin, PolyU Students' Halls of Residence. I started doing private tuitions when I was very young and thus possess great experience in teaching. I will be able to conduct my tuition classes in fluent English as I have been studying in an English Medium High School. Teaching has always been my hobby and a way of recreation for me as I enjoy this profession a lot. Together with my students, I intend to reach and exceed the highest limits and excel through my guidance and their hard work.

Hi! I'm a math tutor with approximately four years of tutoring experience. I have just graduated with an honors degree in pure mathematics, specializing in algebraic topology. During high school, I completed the International Baccalaureate program and achieved a level 7 in HL Maths. My main approach is to support students by working through problems together and identifying any key mistakes or gaps in their knowledge. Additionally, I am more than happy to provide support in other ways, such as teaching theory, which is tailored to each student's needs. I studied at Rulang Primary School. I achieved a PSLE aggregate score of 261. I continued my education at Nanyang Girls' High School and graduated from Hwa Chong Institution (College). I attained an A Level UAP of 87.5, with A grades in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, and Mathematics (all at H2 level), and a B grade in General Paper. I was awarded the Hwa Chong Diploma. I also have two years of teaching experience with a non-profit organization. I currently reside in Jurong West. In addition, I am able to teach Junior College Math, Chemistry, Economics, and Biology. When it comes to teaching, I encourage students to be inquisitive and proactive in their learning. It would be best if students come prepared with questions on topics or subjects they are unsure of, or with school work they need assistance with. I will provide samples of incorrect answers for students to identify the mistakes, and then use assessment books to expose them to similar types of questions. For Mathematics, I have some unique methods that are easy to understand. As for Science, Biology, and Chemistry, I will share templates to guide students on how to answer questions effectively. Additionally, I will highlight common mistakes students tend to make during examinations. It is also important for students to complete assigned work on time, as this helps to track their progress easily. Although learning can sometimes be challenging, I believe that with the student's willingness to put in effort, they can achieve their desired grades.
