Living along the Texas-Mexico border most of the time since I first received my teaching degree, I have been teaching English the entirety of my career, both domestically, in Texas and New Mexico, and later in South Korea and the Middle East.

My special attributes in teaching are the acquisition of a broader English vocabulary, the better understanding English language tenses, understand the usage of English digraphs and diphthongs, and, very importantly, the use of proper English accent.

I love teaching my native language to others, and I find it particularly rewarding when one of my English language students is accepted for study at a university in an English-speaking country and when they are able to find an excellent job because of their attainment of the English language, which is globally the official language of the Internet and business. My teaching methodology requires active listening and peer teaching. I ask a question and if a student is unable to respond, I ask another student. This continues until a student responds correctly. That student then goes back and gives the correct response to the last student who was unable to respond. Then that student tells the student who was unable to respond. This continues until all students have learned the correct response. I then ask the group the question and all respond in unison. Read less
