Hello!

My name is Octavia. I am native British, but I grew up in Spain, making me 100% bilingual.

I have triple 1st class honours in French, Spanish, and Catalan from the University of Bristol, as well as extensive tutoring experience in London, Bristol, and Madrid with children aged 4-14. I also have teaching experience from volunteering at a primary school in Wiltshire, where I helped children aged 6-8 with lessons, grammar, and reading.

I completed the IB, my GCSEs, and additional A-Levels in the UK, and spent a semester abroad at Complutense University in Madrid. I also graduated in the top 6 students from my university course and in the top 15% of all Modern Languages students in my cohort.

I am especially passionate about working with children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and have experience with children who have autism and epilepsy.

My main goal as a tutor is to be flexible around my client's needs. I am friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about learning. I love academia and helping students achieve their desired grades by adapting my teaching approach to each child's learning style.

My three areas of tutoring expertise are:
1. General support with schoolwork, for example, helping expat children with their Spanish homework.
2. Revision support and exam preparation.
3. English conversation classes to practice speaking and build confidence for both children and adults.

Please note that I am based in Barcelona on the CET timezone and teach online via Google Meet. I am also open to discussing classes in-person at your home or another location.
