Hi! I’m Alancha, a South African English teacher with over 3 years of experience helping both children and professionals improve their English. I offer lessons in General English, Business English, and exam preparation (TOEIC, LILATE), either online or in person in Lyon.

I hold a TEFL certification and am currently studying International Business, which helps me better understand the language needs of working professionals. I’ve worked with all ages and levels and always adapt my lessons to the goals and personality of each student.

My teaching style is interactive, relaxed, and student-focused. I encourage a lot of speaking, and I aim to build your confidence through conversation, role-plays, and practical tasks. You won’t just listen to me talk — we’ll work together so you can really use English in your daily or professional life.

As a speaker of three languages (English, Afrikaans, and French), I understand the challenges of language learning. I’m a patient and friendly teacher, and I create a space where you can make mistakes, ask questions, and learn naturally.

My teaching style is dynamic, interactive, and student-focused. I believe that the best way to learn a language is by using it actively - so my lessons are designed to maximize student talking time. I won't just talk at you or simply correct mistakes. Instead, I will guide you toward your own discoveries through questions, prompts, and real conversation practice.
