Hello, prospective students. My name is Lana Thomas. I am 31 years old. I have BS degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics. I've also obtained my teaching qualifications for English. I am currently working on completing the practical component to obtain my full qualifications for Chemistry and Maths. I am big on motivating students and encouraging participation from them. My overall goal is to get my students from A to B, where A is where they currently are and B is where they want to be. Hi, I'm Teacher Pearl. I have a TEFL certification to teach English. I am a licensed Science teacher with over 6 years experience teaching Science to Grades 7 to 10, and over 3 years experience teaching Earth Science, General Biology, and Practical Research for Grades 11 and 12. In between those years, I have also taught Math and Speech Improvement in grade 7 and 8. I am also a freelance content writer and instructional designer. I am an open book, curious, inquisitive, a hard worker, and very creative. I am bilingual; both my parents are French speakers. Although my native language is English, my first language is French. I have just completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Modern Foreign Languages (French and EAL {English as an additional language}) and have taught in London schools. Prior to this, I was a teaching assistant at the British School of Paris for three years and worked extensively with the French department during that time, adapting to different learners and their needs.
