I've been working in child development and education for eight years, the past two years as a Learning Support Specialist at an international school. This experiance has allowed me to work with children from the ages of 4 to 12, with varying levels of ability and challenge. Through this I was able to develop a greater understanding of how different people learn and the resources that can help them in accessing academic materials and promoting academic acceleration. I am a year 3 medical student studying at HKU and I am currently spending my enrichment year abroad to complete a Masters degree at the University of Liverpool. I completed my A-Level studies in Cardiff Sixth Form College, and prior to that I studied in Diocesan Girls’ Junior School and Diocesan Girls’ School. In AS Levels, I have obtained A grade in physics, chemistry, biology and maths, with an average ums of 95/100. My grades for my A-Level exams are 5A*s (including chinese). I have also completed my IELTS examination with an overall score of 8.5. Having had experiences of tutoring pre-school, primary and secondary school students, I understand that the essence of learning is understanding but not memorisation.
