I am a Mathematics tutor based in Johannesburg, specialising in Grades 8–12, with additional support in Physical Sciences. I hold a Bachelor of Mine Survey and have achieved distinctions in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Physics, and Statistics at both high school and university level. What sets me apart is my personal academic journey. I improved from Level 1 in Grade 10 to Level 7 in Matric, earning distinctions in Mathematics and Physical Sciences. I am passionate about helping learners with maths. I make classes fun and enjoyable. I am patient, and I can explain maths in different ways until the learner understands. I live in Cape Town, specifically in the Durbanville area in South Africa. I have experience in teaching and tutoring, and I also have a background in psychology. I worked at a small school for kids with learning disabilities. I tutored the CAPS curriculum (the current standard curriculum) to a mixed class of children ranging from grade 3 to 7. In addition, I have been tutoring privately for the past 2 years. I hold an Honours degree in Psychology, and I am currently registered as a counsellor. Due to this background in psychology, I have extensive knowledge regarding learning styles and learning problems/disorders. I am able to adapt myself to the learning style of the learner. I have recently graduated as a chemical engineer from HKUST. I scored 5 A*s in my A Levels and was offered a full scholarship from HKUST. I have been teaching students for the last 5 years, and students have noticed at least one grade improvement following tutoring from me. I love to teach Mathematics, but my background and university courses allow me to teach Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, and Economics up to A levels as well. My name is Marcus Pang. I graduated from River Valley High School (RVHS IP) and hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching from the National Institute of Education (NIE). I have been teaching since 2014 and have experience in MOE schools, working with IP and JC students. I currently serve as the principal tutor at Eclat Institute.
