Greetings. I have been teaching English full-time for 30+ years, the last 13 in Hong Kong as a NET under the Hong Kong Government NET Scheme. I was born in New Zealand (British accent) and am now Australian. I have regular Hong Kong students from local as well as international schools and am fully conversant with the Hong Kong curriculum as well as that taught in the Hong Kong international schools.

I can provide excellent references from my current and past Hong Kong students (two of whom have been studying with me for four years). Several of my past students are now attending UK and Australian universities. I get results!

I offer a free 'getting to know you' lesson as it is important that there is a good match between tutor and student. I specialize in literature, grammar, IELTS preparation, and conversation exam preparation. I also tutor history and hold an Honours degree in English and History.

I was Head of English for many years at my Australian school before relocating to Hong Kong. More recently, I have specialized in boys' education working in particular with disengaged and reluctant teenage learners. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your tutorial needs.

I teach through engagement, capturing the interest of my students. I provide all materials and am very familiar with the levels, differentiation, and curricula of secondary schools both in Hong Kong and internationally.
