I have taught chemistry in the United States, China, Taiwan, and Bangkok at the college level and in nternational schools for 15 years. I have taught IB, A-Level, and AP curricula, as well as chemistry and biochemistry at the college level. I have a Ph.D. in chemistry, and in my teaching I focus on making sure students understand the underlying concepts of the material we are learning. I use scaffolding techniques and teaching-by-analogy, which allows students to ground new concepts in experiences they already understand.
