I completed my PGCE in 2017 at Cambridge University, and I have taught internationally for 5 years. Hi! I am a fully qualified and internationally experienced ESL teacher. I grew up in Auckland, studied in Wellington and have taught English in Spain, Colombia, Vietnam and Singapore, as well as online. I have a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Spanish and a minor in Linguistics, as well as a Cambridge CELTA internationally recognised ESL teaching qualification. I am culturally aware and interested, and if you are a Spanish speaker, I can give you support in Spanish. My style is to start with what the students know rather than what they don’t. This base is the first square we fill and gives confidence and security. From there we spread out like a tree to show that knowledge is linked up and we organise new material into distinct groups that are the placed onto the correct branches of the tree. Visually, this pattern builds to reflect and illustrate the concepts covered and hopefully retained by the students. This natural map is available to all students and permits good working between them as any errors can be wiped away by reference to the matrix style tree diagramme. I have been a classroom teacher for over 16 years with children, adolescents and “grown ups” in industry. My classes have passed their exams thanks to my experience, their hard work and desire to succeed. I am still able to follow some former students on Facebook at their choosing.

Currently I am living in Manila. English may not be my first language but, it is the language I grew up speaking. I have a B.A. in Vissual Communications and use to teach High School Art Classes.
