Hello, I am a qualified & experienced GCSE to university tutor. I have been tutoring in the United Kingdom for 3 years, part-time, and have seven years of experience tutoring on a one-to-one basis part-time. I primarily teach students from the age of 8 to 24, however, welcome any person wanting to develop themselves further as an individual. I pride myself on preparing lessons to suit the student, giving students advice and teaching individuals how to approach exam questions to obtain the best grade possible. Each lesson is structured based on a revision guide I make for the student. I have held positions in the energy sector and finance sector, therefore my ability to solve problems is extremely high. I enjoy using my understanding developed through education and work experience to hold an intelligent conversation with my students, with the emphasis placed on developing their academic knowledge and interpersonal skills. I teach Mondays to Fridays, from 18:30 to 22:00. This gives me time in the day to focus on preparing lessons, materials and working on my career. In the evening I enjoy passing along the knowledge and skills I have learnt from work experience and my education. I have experience covering a broad range of subjects and exam boards. I am very familiar with past exams and have a deep understanding of what kind of questions could appear in the years to come. I love teaching! I encourage students to question everything and make sure they have a conceptual and fundamental understanding of what they are learning. I make sure students build an intuition to solve problems and give them the confidence to do so. I believe learning is fun and there is nothing to be afraid of. Based on the individual student, I cater my teaching style to best suit them. Students perform well on exams after my guidance but most importantly gain an appreciation for the subject. Rather than by memorizing, I believe better results can be attained by grappling with concepts and plenty of practice.
