I was like many other students who didn't see math as fun and saw it more as challenging growing up. But later I found as I entered teachers college was because I didn't have the right teacher to really engage me enough to make it fun. I have learned many new ways to make math much more enjoyable for the youth of today and make then feel less anxious about math. I want them to be comfortable with it since they will be using this for the rest of their lives. If someone tells you that you will not need a specific kind of math after high school. I can tell you they will probably be wrong because you never know where you will end up and what type of math you will need.I am located in Brantford and I really want to help give a child that love for math again.

I received my BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in both Mathematics and Economics. I received my MS in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at George Washington University in Engineering Management.

My name is Alejandra Paulino and I am second year student at Cornell University. During my time in high school I tutored 2-7th graders. I started a tutoring service in my high school for 5th graders who were failing their common core classes and allowed 15 of the students whom I was tutoring to pass onto the 6 grade.
