I have been tutoring since I was sixteen years old. What started as a small hobby of providing extra-curricular help for some of my IB classmates ten years ago has gradually evolved into a full-time passion of mine that I derive deep fulfillment from. This hyper-fixation on academic performance is often complemented by a collective learning environment that can easily neglect the unique, subtle nuances of each individual's learning style and pace. In wanting to do well, students often find themselves navigating a teaching approach that, by necessity, prioritizes this group environment, and they resort to finding their own way through topics and exams - a path they don't need to navigate alone. This is where I can help. Having been in both the student and teacher roles of the academic experience, I've encountered the range of challenges and pitfalls that often lead to unsuccessful outcomes, and in the worst cases, a misjudgment of our own abilities and a lowering of our own potential. In distilling my dual experience, I have understood the keystone component that determines where these outcomes fall: Communication.
