I am the founder of a boutique tutoring firm in Hong Kong that specialises in providing academic, exam, and personal statement advice to our students through hourly online lessons that are tailored to the individual requirements of each pupil. We have experience tutoring students from some of the top schools in Hong Kong, such as Hong Kong International School and Diocesan Girl’s School, as well as from the top public schools in the United Kingdom, such as Harrow and Roedean. The best way to learn is to enjoy it! As a practitioner of post-method pedagogy, I adapt my teaching practice to the needs of the learners, keeping them engaged and helping them achieve their best. I started as a teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to adults in the UK for 7 years before coming to Hong Kong, where I have taught in the local school system as a NET, as well as in tutorial centers. I have a proven track record in teaching ESOL, English (as a first language), and History. I provide in-person and online training and encouragement to improve student self-confidence, study habits, and time management. I have helped students achieve greater academic success and independent learning through effective learning techniques which led to 100% of students scoring either grade 9 or 8 at GCSE, A at A Level, and 90% of students being offered a place at the school of their choice.
