Hi! If you're at all interested in history, literature, music, philosophy, or human culture, you will have noticed the the language and cultural heritage of the Greek and Roman civilisations played a central role in the shaping of our modern world, and continue to do so.

I have a BA in Classics (Greek & Latin) from King's College London and an MA in Late Antique & Byzantine Studies from the same place. I have twenty years of experience teaching Classical Greek and Latin to beginning and intermediate students, and would love to start you on your learning journey. Whether your interests are in the secular or sacred sphere, classical or mediaeval periods, we can tailor the target reading material.

While I am based in the North, location isn't usually a problem (unless you live on Jurong Island, Tuas, or Loyang) - we can meet at your home, my home, any coffee place, or even a HDB void deck. Zoom is also possible, of course, though I strongly recommend face-to-face lessons most of the time.

I usually teach one-on-one, as this allows the speed of the lesson to follow the ability of the student. I usually go a bit over an hour and I'm not a clock-watcher. Some students prefer to do 2 hours either weekly or fortnightly, and that's also possible. I normally recommend only an hour a week, as that's pretty intense brainwork. Leggi di meno
