My passion in life is knowledge and the sharing of it. The main subject that I tutor is Mathematics as I have found it to be one of the most difficult subjects to grasp, despite being a subject of logic and true beauty once one is able to understand it.

I am based in Johannesburg, Gauteng and have spent five years helping multiple students to not only pass maths, but to do better than they ever thought they could.

I approach each new student with extreme flexibilty as each one learns at a different rate, using different methods. I also believe a student knows the best means by which they will be able to learn and I take these personal considerations very seriously.

My preferred teaching style is to follow the pace of the curriculum, unless the student wishes to learn concepts in advance for the benefit of having the knowledge ready before it is leant in class. I also occasionally give additional homework and spot tests (if needed) and will create my own mock-exams for additional maths practise.

I set myself apart from other tutors with my commitment to my students. This is more than a job for me; I hold your potential in my hands and thus I do all that I can to ensure that you succeed.

Mathematics is a truly beauiful subject and it has great meaning to me. My lessons and approach to this subject will always show my love for maths and I wish for my students to gain the same appreciation. My experience has shown me that a student's marks always rise once they begin to truly enjoy the subject that is Mathematics.

This mentality combined with my experience, knowledge and commitment to my students and the subject of maths is the reason I would love to be your tutor and help you excel.

Mathematics is a subject of theory and practise.

My teaching methodology is to first learn the theory of a mathematical concept. After this I then practise examples with my students to ensure the student can apply the theory learnt.

Each session and its content is mostly determined by the student. I have a variety of equipment including my own notes, a computer with a graphics pad and so on to make the lesson as interesting as possible or traditional means of "pen and paper" can also be used. Leggi di meno
