Hello! I’m a first-year chemistry student at the University of Oxford with previous experience in tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry. I self-taught myself GCSE and A-level Chemistry, sitting the exams in Year 10 and 11 respectively. I achieved:

A-levels: A*s in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths and an A in Further Maths.

GCSE: 9A*s, 1A.

Furthermore, I qualified for the UK Chemistry Olympiad Round 2 in Year 12 (within the top 30 out of around 10,000 students nationally).

I am offering online tuition sessions for GCSE, IB, DSE, A-level Chemistry, and Physics, as well as university guidance and personal statement review services.

My work ethics and tutoring approach:

I am a patient, diligent, and resourceful tutor able to tailor the lesson according to the student’s needs. My main tutoring approach is to break down a concept into logical steps and guide the tutee through it.

Next, apply their acquired knowledge to questions. If the tutee struggles or answers incorrectly, I would identify where they are struggling or made a mistake, then thoroughly explain it and allow them to reach the correct answer instead of directly providing the answer to the question. In my experience, this method can secure knowledge and even easily apply it in more complex problems.

If the tutee is preparing for exams, we will work through past papers together to identify weaker areas and highlight exam and revision techniques. I will also provide self-written notes and worked answers for past papers to aid in studying. Leggi di meno
