I am a teacher, tutor, strategist, and economist - a rare combination that has provided me with a full grasp of South Africa’s development agenda in its entirety, from the human capital resources perspective to socio-economic needs. I am a qualified teacher from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). I taught Business Studies and Economics at Nelson Mandela High School. I am more attuned to teaching and tutoring learners from high school to tertiary institutions. I have had the privilege of tutoring Strategic Management to University of South Africa (UNISA) students over many years. I have also been a marker of Economics for UNISA students for many years. During this period, I received extensive training in UNISA’s Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL), which essentially entails Learning Theories, Interactions in Online Learning, Online Vs. Face-to-Face Learning, etc. I therefore have both formal training and experience in distance learning and tutoring. My highest qualification is an MA in International Studies (Economics).
