Hi, I'm Ali, a current PolyU student majoring in Civil Engineering. I love to teach (I know it sounds cheezy but it is true) because I like to interact with my students and while I help them with their academic needs, I also try to form a good and lasting friendship. I always keep my students involved through active recall and changing roles (I become the student and you become the tutor. Because if you can teach it, you won't forget it). I always make sure that you are on track and following. I hate lectures where the student just has to listen (you can do that on YouTube so I don't want to waste your time and money). I teach in three phases:

1. Learning the Concept: I begin with basic examples to explain all key points one at a time in an easily digestible way, slowly increasing difficulty until it reaches exam level.

2. Active Recall: At the end of class, I have my students recall what I taught that day, and at the beginning of the next class, I have them recall what I taught the previous day to ensure they are retaining the concepts.

3. Test Prep: I administer tests, focusing more on weak areas, and then review them with the student so they can see how an examiner grades their work. Leggi di meno
