I believe that all students can excel in their studies. I was also in their shoes once, so I believe that having tuition is just to kickstart their independent learning journey, for someone to guide them in their learning process, and for them to realize and rectify their own mistakes. As students explore the different learning styles to find which suits them, I aim to be there to help them in this learning process and craft lessons according to their best interest and for the best learning efficiency.

I have taught 6 students now. For the primary school students, their Chinese started from the very fundamental level as they were unfamiliar with the language, and now they are able to converse more comfortably and even write better for their Chinese composition. They have maintained at least a C in their Chinese now even at a higher primary level, which may seem like a low score, but it is a huge improvement as they were not able to converse in Chinese initially before, with one of them doing exceptionally well since she picks things up faster than the rest. Two of them are from Sembawang Primary School, one is from Marymount Convent, and the other from Monfort Primary School. I have also taught a secondary school student from CHIJ Secondary in mathematics at G2 level. Coming from a weak mathematics background, she has found my lessons efficient in helping her to understand math concepts better. Lastly, I have taught a JC student A level Chinese this year, and she just had her exam, awaiting results to be released next year. Nonetheless, she feedback that my lessons had helped her to understand key answering formats, as well as widen her Chinese vocabulary useful for her composition writing. Leggi di meno
