I am presently a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. I research learning and educational development. I am also an editor of journals and books in the field of education, transformation, and democracy. I help with study and learning skills, learning different subjects, preparing for exams, writing essays and assignments, research proposals, writing up, and submissions of assignments, theses, final projects, and dissertations.

I specialize in teaching academic writing, research epistemology, methodologies, methods, and theories, critical thinking, study and learning skills, critical engagement with ideas, writing and defending original ideas, explaining ideas academically, communicating ideas clearly and convincingly, formulating good research questions, deconstructing ideas and theories, and constructing, validating, and invalidating theories and ideas.

I have been preparing students for university life for more than twenty years in the U.K, Israel, France, and South Africa. I have helped colleagues with publications and teaching. I have mentored and prepared disadvantaged students in South Africa for degrees, helped them achieve good degrees and jobs, and worked with researchers at all levels to publish their ideas.

I have supervised students for successful and quick completion of their degrees and conducted many education workshops on succeeding at university, PhD research, and academic careers. I earned a PhD in education, psychology, and philosophy at the University of Bath, England. In my research, I developed dialectical methods of conceptualizing human existence and the human subject based on living a more meaningful and fulfilling life, transforming experiences of dissatisfaction and frustration, as well as empowering and developing individuals and communities.

I also developed dialectical, democratic, and dialogical teaching and learning methods based on co-enquiries, reflections, and dialogues on the world, society, and topics at hand. I completed an individual postgraduate degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in humanities and social science, where I critically analyzed and criticized current methods in education and social science.

My B.Sc. and Honours degrees were in Psychology with French Studies from London, England. I supported myself during this time by teaching and tutoring privately, at universities, and at schools. In 2012, I came to South Africa to do postdoc and research fellowships in education, psychology, democracy, and transformation. I further developed and tested my educational methods with South African students, academics, inhabitants of disadvantaged townships and rural areas, and learners from all backgrounds.
