I’m a teacher–researcher in the Bioinformatics department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). I lecture, create assignments and exams, and co-organise courses for Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. My research spans generative AI for protein structure prediction and machine learning for biomarker detection. In 2024 I completed a cum laude MSc in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology, a joint degree from VU Amsterdam and the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Before academia, I spent over five years at NVIDIA, honing programming, data analysis and project management skills in international, cross-functional teams. I’m proficient in Python, R and C/C++, and I love demystifying complex concepts. My goal is to help students build confidence, master core programming skills and become independent problem-solvers.
