From time to time I will do level worksheets and oral tests to track the student's progress.
I believe that some homework is crucial for language learning, but I won’t overwhelm you with assignments unless you prefer an intensive program. I think small research tasks, grammar and vocabulary exercises, and occasional writing assignments are essential to reinforce what we’ve learned and to keep you engaged in the process.

When a student is struggling with a particular topic, it's often necessary to approach it from a different angle. One of the greatest joys in teaching is finding the right approach to engage and motivate a student who may be feeling disengaged or unmotivated. It might take some conversation and understanding, but I’m persistent and won’t give up easily.
