I would be a good chemistry tutor because of my strong foundation in the subject and my ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Throughout JC, I consistently scored As in chemistry, from my very first test to the Prelims, and I was among the top few in my cohort during the Prelims. My participation in the Chemistry Olympiad further highlights my passion and aptitude for the subject.

As a peer tutor in JC, I gained valuable experience in helping my classmates understand challenging topics, ensuring they could grasp concepts effectively. Additionally, I was a lead science coach for Primary 5 and 6 students at Mendaki, where I honed my ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. Currently, I am tutoring 2 students (1 O Level and 1 A Level). They have shown significant improvement. My O Level student was constantly failing chemistry. However, now, she has gotten almost a B.

My involvement in ChemSoar, where I coded chemistry concepts into an interactive platform, demonstrates my innovative approach to teaching and my commitment to making learning accessible and exciting. With my consistent academic excellence, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for chemistry, I am confident in my ability to help students excel academically while developing a genuine appreciation for the subject.
