Hi! I grew up speaking English and Indonesian, and I'm a graduate of CUHK here in Hong Kong. I've spent my whole life reading, writing, and communicating in both academic and daily English (both British and American).

I have an 8.5/9.0 score on my IELTS (equivalent to C2) and an A grade for the Cambridge AS Levels subject of English General Paper. I am also well-versed in the social sciences and humanities (psychology, sociology, history, etc.) and am very much capable of teaching them in English.

For younger learners, I teach phonics as much as possible. This was how I was taught when I was a child, and I always recommend teaching phonics to children as it will help them develop a native and "proper" accent.

I try to converse as much as possible with students in conversational English, with varying levels of difficulty and amounts depending on age and proficiency. I also teach using input that can be understood up to 90%. Leggi di meno
