Depending on the age of the student and their preferred learning style, I would use any method ranging from hands-on to visual to real-life examples to help the student understand the concept initially. I then make sure to explain how to solve math problems, work together through them, then guide individually, then test the concept to make sure that it's clear before moving on.
Yes, I was a teacher during the pandemic and I continue to teach online to this day. For students based in Kuwait, I would prefer to meet up face to face either in their home or at a coworking space/quiet cafe/National Library.

In the inital meetup, I present the student with an assessment to determine gaps in knowledge and then begin by teaching one of them through a quick example. Throughout this interaction it is made clear the teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style.
