Hello! I'm Jodi, I am based in Cape Town and I have been a teacher for three years. I have a passion for teaching and helping my students recognise and achieve their goals. I have taught primary (English, Math and Social Studies) and high school (English) so I have a broad knowledge of English.
I spent my first two years teaching in the Middle East and my last in South Africa. This has taught me how to teach in a way that is catered to the student's needs.

I have a student-centred teaching methodology. This means I look at where the student is academically and I work with them to improve from there. My goal is to take the student from what they know and give them the skills to achieve at a higher level. Most lessons will consist of an explanation and instruction and once that is understood the student will do a worksheet which we will mark together and any mistakes will be reviewed and corrected.
