I am Alex, and I am currently a biochemistry doctoral (PhD) student at the University of Oxford. I have more than 10 years of experience in private and small group teaching in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Currently at Oxford, I am teaching Biochemistry to undergraduate students in Mathematics & Statistics.

The high school syllabi that I have tutored include:

- GCE A-Level (including IAL)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- (I)GCSE
- HKDSE
- Advanced Placement (AP)

I also provide tutoring for bioscience and chemistry (specifically for biologists) to university students on an ad hoc basis. Additionally, I can assist with proofreading lab reports and research reports.

I employ an exam-focused approach that emphasises the key learning points of the syllabus, but I try to avoid excessive memorization if possible. Additionally, I tend to provide extra knowledge to help particularly motivated students enhance their understanding. As homework, I assign ample exercises in the style of exam questions.

Primarily, I teach online due to my schedule and geographical mobility. As of April 2020, I am currently located in Hong Kong and available to tutor students either at their homes or other agreed-upon locations. Leggi di meno
