First lesson is FREE! I was born in Guangzhou and moved to Hong Kong at the age of nine. Before moving, I received a bilingual education in Mandarin and Cantonese. Since my mother speaks Mandarin at home, my Mandarin proficiency is higher than that of most Hong Kong residents. While studying for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Melbourne in Australia, I also successfully completed Level 1 (the highest level) of the Pǔtōnghuà Shuǐpíng Cèshì (PSC), which is the Mandarin Proficiency Test. During that time, I also studied Spanish, as it is my dream to travel across South America. I am fluent in English (near-native level with an IELTS score of 8.5/9, including a reading score of 9 and oral, writing, and listening scores of 8.5), Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish. Since my return in 2019, I have been working as a tutor, specializing in English, Coding, and Chinese.

Having taught tuition for 10 years (5 years part-time and another 5 years full-time), I have the relevant experience and expertise to guide my students to achieve greater improvement in their learning progress. This, in turn, enhances their confidence and interest in the subject. As a bilingual tutor, I am capable of teaching both Mandarin Chinese and English. I have studied a National University of Singapore (NUS) degree with honors, majoring in English Literature, and minoring in Chinese Studies. Additionally, my students will also be provided with ample learning materials, including notes and practice resources.

Hi! I'm a bilingual Chinese tutor teaching primary and secondary levels up to O-Level. I explain concepts clearly in both English and Chinese, making tough topics easy to understand. I graduated from HKU Law and HKU PCLL, and was a top scorer of HKDSE (the local university entrance exam), achieving 5* out of 5** for Chinese, i.e., 6 out of 7 marks. I have 6-7 years of tutoring experience, working with students from different schools and backgrounds. Some of my students study in local schools with parents who may not be native Chinese speakers, while many attend international schools such as CIS, VSA, CDNIS, and I have even assisted a student in gaining admission to Li Po Chun. I have a strong knowledge of both simplified Chinese (简体字) and traditional Chinese (繁体字) writing, Han Yu Pin Yin (汉语拼音), Chinese history/folktales, which are helpful for your understanding when it comes to Chinese proverbs learning. I can also teach adult who is keen to communicate effectively in Chinese at business level on top of that the knowledge of Chinese economic terms. I have obtained a Certificate for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL) issued by the National Hanban (aka Confucius Institute) in Beijing.
