I am an English tutor and an Ontario teacher! I can work with your child to improve his/her reading and writing so that they are able to communicate effectively and achieve better grades.
I studied at York University and have a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Education. My background in education allows me to understand the curriculum expectations and what is expected of your child. In addition, I have over 3 years of experience with teaching students from JK - Grade 6.
Learning how to communicate effectively through reading, writing and oral presentation, are skills that your child will need in any career they pursue in the future. As a result, I take my role seriously and plan tutoring sessions according to your child's strengths and learning styles. Being flexible, patient and empathetic are three important traits that have allowed me to have many positive and successful teaching experiences.
I look forward to working with your child!
I offer tutoring for English, and live in the GTA! I have a bachelor's degree, and have experience in tutoring and teaching. I am available online and in person, and will offer one-to-one tutoring, and can negotiate prices.
I am proficient in developing new lessons and activities to expand learning opportunities and providing conceptual knowledge. I am able to provide individualized instruction to ensure that all students maintain the expected skill level. Moreover, I can identify and organize field trips to enrich the curriculum. I am also skilled in meeting with parents to discuss progress and address any behavioral or mastery concerns. In addition, I am able to develop and implement discipline plans, as well as work closely with at-risk students.
Teaching the little ones requires huge patience and understanding. Sometimes I used to lose my cool with their excessive naughty behaviors, but I had to be polite as well for not to hurt their innocent mind. I had to be more loving and caring for they were like pure budding flowers.
My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions, as well as the ability to tackle new and unfamiliar problems.
