Hi! I'm Miss Tracy from Vancouver! I have always loved interacting with children and young adults. Being able to help them learn, guide them, and then watch them grow and improve is the best reward for me. I have worked in a kindergarten, conducted playgroups, and taught kids as young as 1.5 years old. I specialize in teaching phonics. If you know anyone who loves to read but has trouble spelling, please introduce them to me. I am confident that their spelling will show significant improvement within four lessons. I also have over six years of experience teaching creative writing and grammar to children aged 5 to 12 years old. In addition to teaching my own syllabus, I also assist my students with their school work. I believe that the key to being a good teacher is to know my students well, so I can design a lesson plan that suits each student's needs. I always ensure my students have lots of fun in my classes while also ensuring that they learn, progress, and can apply their knowledge in their daily lives. I am an experienced English teacher. I have worked both online and in classroom settings. Most of my experience is with students between P1 and P4. The subjects that I have taught are English, Maths, Science, Health, and Phonics. Recently, I started teaching some of the local children from my home in Koh Chang. These lessons have become quite popular, and what started out as 5 students has grown to 15 students. They enjoy the lessons and look forward to them every week. My teaching philosophy is to make my lessons fun, as I find students learn more when they are having fun. They also become more confident and happier expressing themselves in English. I like to incorporate media into my lessons, such as fun vocabulary video clips and PowerPoint presentations. I also use video and PowerPoint quizzes, where I encourage the students to call out the answers. This helps reinforce what they have learned in the lesson.
