I am a math tutor based in Busan. I mainly teach elementary, middle school, and high school math, and I can also teach basic college-level mathematics. I have been good at math since I was young. When I was in 5th grade, I won 2nd place among all students in my grade in a Busan-wide math competition. In university, I also understood math concepts faster and more deeply than other students. With this strength, I have been working as a private math tutor in the Korean private education market for 5 years. My teaching is not just about solving many problems. I am familiar with Korean test preparation and helping students improve their grades, but what I value more is true understanding. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I pursue both realistic goals such as improving grades and a deep understanding of mathematics. I do not want my students to become machines that only solve problems; instead, I want them to understand why a solution works and to find interest in math itself. Korean is my native language, and I am capable of basic communication in English. My grammar or expressions may not always be perfect, but I can explain basic ideas and communicate with students, and I have experience teaching math in English as well. Since math is based on concepts and logic, I can clearly explain key points even in English. I especially welcome students who are curious and not afraid to ask questions.
