I was born in Yorkshire and at 18, I moved to Warwick in the heart of England to study Physics. After obtaining my BSc, I moved even further south, to London. During my PhD in Geoscience, I started private tutoring in science. After completing my PhD, I lectured for 1 year at University College London. In 2020, I relocated to Potsdam. I spent 2 years conducting research at the Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ, and then, in 2023, I transitioned back to teaching. Currently, I teach science and yoga in Potsdam.
