I currently work in the accounting fieled as an accountant for 4 years. I have also been teaching English part-time along with mathematics. My name is Ornella Cathy a final year hospitality management student based in Pretoria. Accounting is a fundamental subject in our day to day life , it guides us to mange our finances and how to monitor our expenses. Intrigued by accounting since first time doing it in first year, I was able to complete the module successfully and guided some of my peers along.

I am a British-born Chinese tutor. I have completed my ACA (HKCPA equivalent) in the UK and graduated from the University of Exeter, where I studied Economics and Finance. During my time at Exeter, I participated in the study abroad program, which led me to the University of Hong Kong. Additionally, I have successfully passed level 1 of the CFA examinations. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I previously worked with CIS, tutoring young adults (16-18 year olds) to prepare them for their GCSE and A-level exams in economics, maths, and business studies. Moreover, I have worked with young children, helping them develop their English language skills. I have also volunteered in both India and China, assisting children in improving and expanding their English vocabulary. While I am a native English speaker, I am also able to converse in Cantonese and have some knowledge of Mandarin.

I have ten years of extensive teaching experience in India as an accounts and business studies teacher. My teaching style involves starting from simple concepts and gradually progressing to more complex topics.

I am a Chartered Accountant working in the industry from the past 7 years. Tutoring is my passion and I help students in Accounting, Finance, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Cost Accounting and Taxation. I am teaching students pursuing higher secondary education, University level and Professional qualification like CA, CAANZ and ACCA since 2010. My students are teenagers and adult learners as well. My method of teaching is to clear the concept and provide the logic behind the concept so that student would never forget it. I have around 10 years of experience in teaching students for below subjects: Accounting bookkeeping Auditing Finance Managerial Accounting Cost Accounting Taxation Business Management. I provide notes to the students for lessons(if requires), short summaries and comparison chart along with the linking of such concepts with the real world. My experience in the industry allows me to relate the theoretical concepts with the real world.
