Originally I am from Nepal and most of my study life is accompanied there. I took science as my major when I was in Grade 11 and 12 and managed to get an average of 73.5% out of 100% from Saint Xavier's college in Kathmandu. Currently, I am in Hong Kong doing an undergraduate degree at HKUST with a major in Biotechnology. Before that, I graduated from HKBU CIE with an associate degree in life science (GPA 3.86). My future planning is to be a bio technician or if not I would like to contribute to the science field in any other way I can. Throughout my overall academic career, I have been very enthusiastic about learning science and I love to share my knowledge with others in a very convenient way.

Hello! My name is Shalmalee, and I am very excited to help you succeed in Biology! I am originally from India but grew up in Dubai. I completed my higher education in London and Germany. I am currently starting my Ph.D. at VUmc. My expertise in Biology comes from my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Kingston University London and my Master's degree in genomic medicine from Imperial College London. I have worked on stem cells and genetic engineering at EMBL Heidelberg. In the past, I worked with a company in Germany to help pharmaceutical companies identify novel drug targets. Currently, I am the recipient of a prestigious Marie-Curie Ph.D. fellowship granted by the European Commission. I will be using it to conduct research on disease biomarkers and immunology-related topics. I have always loved teaching and simplifying complex biological concepts using visualization. Therefore, I mainly focus on concept-based learning, which eventually leads to connecting various concepts to answer exam-style questions for optimal results. Dr. Eden P has traveled extensively and has collaborated with international researchers in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Thailand, China, Germany, and Denmark. She has lectured and mentored Ph.D., MSc, and Honours graduates. She was recently appointed as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s, the Journal of Cell & Developmental Biology, and the Journal of Neurology Forecast, and has published 8 scientific manuscripts on therapeutic interventions in Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.

My name is Olivia, and I am currently a PhD student at UC Davis, studing environmental engineering. My work focuses on biological treatment of trace organic contaminants (e.g. pesticides) in water. I have two years of experience as a teaching assistant for undergraduates, and am knowledgable in many interconnected areas such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, engineering and ecology.
