Matthew is currently a second-year student at The University of Hong Kong’s graduate entry program in the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Prior to HKU Medicine, Matthew graduated with a First-class Honor degree from the University of Warwick in Biomedical Sciences as well as studied in Hong Kong at HKUGA College. Matthew obtained an A-level A* equivalence in his Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics at HKDSE, and has one year of tutoring experience in Biology and Chemistry. Matthew is passion in tutoring, and finds joy in breaking complicated, abstract concepts into simple understandings. Hello! I am a newly graduated medical doctor who has just moved to Hamburg to hopefully practice here one day. In the meanwhile as I'm learning German, I have been tutoring students in Biology, Chemistry and other science subjects in a broad spectrum of fields at different levels. I teach all subjects in English since I was a medical student with 2 years of experience now. I have almost 10 years of tutoring experience. I started tutoring since I was in grade 11. I have tutored students at the level of middle school, high school, university (undergraduate), and medical school. I am very focused and goal-oriented and like to finish the lessons/assignments in a given time period, while at the same time engaging the students and making sure they understand the concept(s) thoroughly. The students are generally very satisfied with my tutoring techniques and describe me as a very calm and thorough tutor.

Stop the Brain Freeze! I am Pragya Sharma! I graduated in Biochemistry (Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. I further went on to pursue my master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, Delhi. I am currently pursuing Doctorate in Biological Sciences from Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom. During all these years I realised that the classes I appreciated most were not necessarily the topics I was most interested in, rather it was the professors who made the classes enjoyable and interesting. All these professors had one thing in common, they were always engaging and comprehensible when teaching and moreover were willing to go an extra mile when asked for additional help and clarification. I will carry the same approach and knowledge to my tutoring sessions and do everything to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teaching the material. The biggest strategy I strictly adhere in my sessions is “Revise the old; learn the new”. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and the student’s individual needs. I currently demonstrate on module for biomedical science and in total have eight years of tutoring experience. I want to benefit the students I work with best of my capabilities therefore, I am open to any additional resources and suggestions from both students and parents. Name is Brite Mphuthi and I am a 26-year-old University student. I am currently studying at the University of Cape Town, majoring in Genetics and Biochemistry. I am also an Academic coordinator and Tutor leader. Teaching is not a past time for me is something I am passionate about. Seeing someone understand and grasp what was a difficult concept is what brings a smile on my face. Knowledge is power.

As a tutor, I strive to provide students with tools to learn how to study for various courses in a way that best suits their learning style.
