I am a passionate Chinese language educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. I began my teaching journey at the age of 18 and have since worked extensively with student-care groups and individual learners, honing strong skills in classroom management, personalized instruction, and curriculum design. I have nearly 4 years of experience teaching enrichment to preschool kids aged between 18 months and 7 years old. During my university years, I read a lot of books on Chinese and foreign literature, including ancient Chinese, during which I laid a solid foundation in literature. Her past experience includes designing, developing and coaching Putonghua curriculum at Colour My World for 3 year, Chinese private tutoring over 5 years for students at Canadian International School, Kellett School, Hong Kong Academy, Korean International School, South Island School, Glenealy School, St.Stephen’s College Preparatory School, Pui Kiu College, St. Paul's Convent School and Victoria Kindergarten. Throughout her experience, Kristin also facilitated language training for partially-hearing persons. Adopting experimental learning theories, Kristin is confident of and experienced with enhancing her students’ past learning style with effective and innovative methods to help them to listen, comprehend, speak, read and write in Chinese. For young students, She designs the curriculum through drama games, role play, storytelling, prose reading and introduction of Chinese culture.
