Hey there! My name is Jiake Gan, I am from China and currently studying at Maastricht University. I always think Chinese is a beautiful language and would like to help more people understand its beauty. I am fairly fluent in English, so this could be our teaching language. Ms. Wong Lu (Pekingese) has an Advanced Teacher's Diploma in Mandarin Chinese and over 30 years of experience in teaching Mandarin. She has been teaching adult Mandarin for more than 20 years, both individually and in group settings, to professionals such as senior civil servants in government agencies and senior bank administrators. Many of her students have achieved top rankings in Putonghua for the whole year. Additionally, she has served as a judge for local Mandarin recitation competitions and has experience tutoring elementary and middle school students for the GAPSK test, as well as adults for the PSC Mandarin proficiency test. She also offers guidance for the International school I/GCSE exam and has achieved a Level 1 proficiency in Putonghua. As a native Beijing speaker, she has been awarded an “A” Grade Certificate by the Chinese National Language Bureau and has also earned a Diploma for Advanced Putonghua Trainers. Her learners have included Administrative Officers (AO) and Executive Officers (EO) of the Hong Kong Government, as well as CEOs and directors of foreign and local banks. Ms. Wong Lu offers both one-on-one and group tutorial sessions and specializes in preparing students for the GAPSK exam.

I am a passionate and professional Chinese language teacher with a bachelor's degree and HSK certification, fluent in Mandarin at HSK Level 8. Over the past five years, I have taught in primary and secondary schools as well as online language training institutions, instructing children, adolescents, and adults. My courses cover pinyin, conversation, and character reading and writing. My teaching style is lively and engaging, employing interactive methods such as images, games, and simulations to stimulate student learning. I have helped students achieve significant progress, including an average 30% increase in speaking scores and a 20% improvement in HSK pass rates. I also possess excellent classroom management and curriculum design skills and can tailor teaching plans to suit different age groups and proficiency levels.
