I am a Y4 NUS student pursuing a double degree in Computer Science (AI) and Business (Finance). I have been on the Dean's List for both degrees in 23/24. I am passionate about teaching programming and coding to beginners. I am very patient and detail-oriented when explaining the complex concepts and inner workings of code, which can often be confusing for newcomers. I can guarantee to make coding less intimidating and more enjoyable, drawing from my own experiences when I first began coding myself.

Hi! I'm Rafael. I graduated cum laude in computer engineering from one of the top universities in Brazil and have a master of science degree from Columbia University. I am currently a Machine Learning Engineerat Google and love to teach/tutor students to help them achieve better results! I have been a teaching assistant since my time in college, and have always tried to keep doing it - either formally or informally. I participate in several non-profit organisations as mentor for low income students in Brazil and truly believe in education as the key to change lives. My academic background is very quantitative, mainly mathematics, physics and programming. For programming, I am most comfortable with Python and its data science stack (numpy, pandas, tensorflow etc.), but I also have had experience with other languages such as C# and Java. Over a decade, I have won multiple hackathons with my PHP, C#, and mobile programming skills, and created dozens of commercial products for my clients that are still selling today. I have trained beginners to professionals through a solution-oriented approach to mastering a programming language. For example, if you tell me a problem you intend to solve, I will craft a syllabus to guide you along, even if you have zero background in programming. I teach additional but highly relevant topics so that my students can correlate and apply what they have learned in my programming class to solve real-world problems. I love solving problems with computer programming and truly believe it is a skill set that everyone should benefit from. Therefore, I am flexible with counteroffers if you are financially constrained at the moment but need a new skill set to land a job/offer.

Brian Confessor received a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. During his undergraduate days, he went abroad to study Games Programming in London for one year, and is now pursuing his Masters Course in Japan to continue his studies in Game Engineering, focusing on Serious Games. He has two years of professional experience working as a backend developer for an investment firm, using technologies such as C#, Visual Basic, and SQL. He also has one year of experience working with Simulation and VR development using the Unity Game Engine. In 2017, he began acting as a programming teacher and has been teaching programming to both children and adults since then. He has taught technologies such as Python, HTML, SQL, C, C++, and Unity.

I am an experienced English tutor. I can teach programming (Python, Delphi, and Scratch) as well as graphic design on Canva. I'm also able to teach Mathematics and Science for primary school level, as well as Business Studies for high school level.
